Cybersecurity Policy

Security guidance for visitors, members and responsible vulnerability reporting.

Draft prepared: October 30, 2026

Draft for review. This new wording has not been approved by WGN or its legal adviser. Existing signed agreements remain controlling.

Scope

This policy covers safe use of the WGN public website. The member portal, hosted application and payment provider, event booking platforms and other third-party services have separate security practices. This page does not certify their controls or represent a security audit.

Protecting your information

Use unique passwords for any member account, keep devices and browsers updated, and use multi-factor authentication where the relevant service offers it. Do not disclose passwords, authentication codes or full payment-card details in email, chat or vulnerability reports.

Membership applications and payment fields are handled by the hosted form provider, not a payment form operated by this website. Confirm the destination and review the provider’s policies before entering sensitive information.

Phishing and suspicious messages

Be cautious of unexpected messages requesting payments, credentials or urgent account changes. Verify requests with WGN using the contact information published on this website rather than contact details in a suspicious message.

Responsible reporting

If you discover a suspected vulnerability or misuse of WGN information, contact WGN privately. Include the affected page, a concise description, approximate time observed and safe reproduction steps. Do not include real personal data, passwords or card details.

Do not access or download another person’s information, disrupt services, run destructive tests or publish exploit details before contacting WGN. Finding a vulnerability does not authorize further testing or access. This policy does not establish a bug bounty or guarantee a reward or response deadline.

Incident handling

Reports should be assessed by WGN and the relevant service provider. Any necessary investigation, containment and notifications depend on the incident and applicable obligations. Specific internal controls, certifications and incident-response timelines have not been verified for publication here.

Security limitations

No online service is completely secure. This policy is guidance, not a guarantee against unauthorized access, loss or interruption. For data practices and individual privacy requests, consult the Privacy Policy.
